Flexibility is important with our department. We do not have pop up trips, once for me in the past six years. However, our trips do get changed, shortened, or lengthened on occasion. We receive our schedule on Thursday the week prior. We average 11-12 days a month. Some weeks are long others are empty. We average 2 weekend days and 30-35 hours a month. Flying is North America with cross country flights once or twice a week. Our requested days off are usually given without question. We are well taken care of on the road. I have not had an expense report questioned. This is a solid gig, with a small department of a large manufacturing company.
