Rockhill Aviation is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Director of Operations to join our Part 135 private charter company in Pensacola, FL. The ideal candidate will be a proven leader with extensive operational knowledge, strong leadership skills, and a dedication to safety, compliance, and customer service.
Key Requirements:
Must hold a valid Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate.
Citation CJ2 type rating or ability to attain type rating.
Must meet FAA Part 119.71 experience requirements by having one of the following:
At least 3 years (within the last 6 years) of supervisory or managerial experience in a position exercising operational control over Part 135 or Part 121 operations; or
At least 3 years (within the last 6 years) as Pilot-in-Command in Part 135 or Part 121 operations.
Comprehensive understanding of FAA regulations and operational compliance standards.
Strong communication and organizational skills for coordinating with pilots, maintenance, scheduling, and executive leadership.
Proven ability to maintain and promote a strong safety culture.
Responsibilities:
Oversee all aspects of daily flight operations under Part 135 regulations.
Ensure compliance with FAA, company policies, and safety standards.
Supervise and mentor flight crews and operational staff.
Collaborate with maintenance, dispatch, and scheduling teams to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
Serve as the primary point of contact for FAA and regulatory matters.
Develop and implement operational policies, procedures, and training initiatives.
