The Chief Pilot will provide pilot team members with resources and tools required for them to give the best service to our internal and external customer. Primary Responsibilities: Maintain the required qualifications to act as a Pilot in Command of at least one fleet type on the [redacted] Operating Certificate Act as liaison between the pilot group and Director of Operations in all operation matters. Coordinates training needs to endure that adequately trained pilots are available for all flights. Assumes the responsibilities of the Manger of training if that position is not used or is unfilled. Ensures required items associated with the Pilot\'s EFM are up to date and applicable to the operations they are used for. Designates flight instructors and nominated check airmen for FAA approval. Responsible with Director of Maintenance, for preparing and submitting the Mechanical Interruption Summary Report required by FAR 135.417 Shall participate in the investigation of, and make a report to the VP of Operations on, any aircraft accident, reportable incident, records discrepancy, or airman flight violation. Is responsible with the VP of Operations, for ensuring that pilot records are maintained to FAA standards. Works closely with the Director of Maintenance to ensure that aircraft maintenance problems do not unnecessarily disrupt scheduled flight operations. Ensures that each pilot domicile, if applicable, has a Base Chief Pilot that can manage domicile\'s flight operations personnel. The duties and authority to accomplish these duties may be delegated as necessary; however, such delegation does not relieve the Chief Pilot of the overall responsibility Essential Requirements: Must have at least 3 years experience, within the past 6 years, as pilot in command of an aircraft operated under Title 14 CFR Part 121 or Part 135.
