The Senior Manager, Airbus Programs is responsible for managing the Flight Operations Airbus program and managing the fleet for current and future state equipage. This includes being the technical subject matter expert on the Airbus for Flight Operations and primary liaison to Airbus, vendors, industry, and FAA on technical matters regarding the Flight Operations Fleet Programs.
Essential Functions
Member of the Flight Standards Board (FSB) and Data Analysis Group (DAG)
Primary Flight Operations interface with Airbus Industries on operational and technical issues
Interface with Maintenance on Airbus technical issues
Flight Operations Airbus Subject Matter Expert
Participate in aircraft order customization and analyze technology advancement in fleet operations
Monitor and evaluate Airbus FCOM, FCTM, QRH, technical documentation revisions
Monitor and analyze Flight Operations impacts to fleet upgrades, Operations Engineering Bulletins, Airworthiness Directives
Validate, monitor, and modify the Navigation Database and AOC Database program
Acts as the Navigation Database manager per the NDVRCP manual
Coordinate with Director of Operations in management of applicable Operations Specifications
Interface with Senior Manager, Technical Programs on operational and technical issues as they relate to aircraft connectivity and communications.
Subject Matter Expert for Flight Operations Manual Volume II, Flight Operations Manual Volume III, FlySmart+/eQRH, and Navigation Database Validation & Recurring Check Program (NDVRCP)
Airline Flight Operations technical point-of-contact for FAA, industry, and vendors
Respond to Incident Reports involving aircraft-related issues
Interface with the FAA regarding coordination of Airbus operational/safety concerns (e.g., SAIs, EPIs, ADs, DCTs)
Primary representative for [Company] at industry and regulatory initiatives (e.g., NAV PARC working group, DCIT, airspace and airport meeting/workgroups, etc.)
Coordinates with other departments to ensure the safe, professional, and efficient aircraft operations
Other duties assigned by the [Company] leadership
Administers the SMS in areas of responsibility
Promotes safety
Advises upper management of the performance of the SMS and any identified areas of improvement
Manages, mitigate, and accept risk as defined by the Frontier Risk Acceptance Chart
Other Functions
Coordinate with the Chief Pilot Office on operational and technical issues.
Provide technical information and expertise to pilots when necessary.
Participate in inter-departmental work groups and projects.
Develop long term vision for aircraft equipage and capabilities.
Aid in budget development for fleet operations.
Qualifications
Experience with the development and management of 14 CFR 121 Air Carrier Programs
Previous Flight Operations Experience
A320 Aircraft Type Rating
Airline Transport Pilot License
Experience in working with the FAA and other regulatory agencies
Extensive technical knowledge of Airbus A320 Family aircraft systems
Understanding of Minimum Equipment List authorization
Knowledge of Operations Specifications and FAA Regulations
Extensive business software experience including:
