This full-time, on-site Pilot position is home based, south Florida residents will be preferred and focuses on operating Legacy 600 or Gulfstream IV aircraft for [Company]. Position is for 135 operation with pre-defined scheduled published previous month and flexible as far as time-off vs. time-on.
The pilot will conduct pre-flight and post-flight inspections, review flight plans and weather conditions, and coordinate with dispatch and ground operations to ensure safe and efficient trips. Responsibilities include managing all phases of flight, monitoring aircraft systems, adhering to company SOPs and regulatory requirements, and maintaining clear communication with crew, passengers, and air traffic control. The pilot will also ensure a high standard of passenger service, oversee safety briefings, maintain accurate flight and maintenance logs, and participate in recurrent training and proficiency checks.
Qualifications
Extensive experience as a professional pilot with strong competency in jet operations, preferably with Legacy 600 and/or Gulfstream IV type experience or ratings.
Valid FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate, current First-Class Medical certificate, and strong knowledge of FAA regulations and industry safety standards.
Demonstrated skills in flight planning, navigation, crew resource management, and in-flight decision-making, with a focus on risk assessment and mitigation.
Ability to manage passenger safety and comfort, provide clear safety briefings, and maintain a professional, customer-focused demeanor at all times.
Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with co-pilots, cabin crew, maintenance, and operations staff.
Proficiency in using modern avionics, flight management systems, and electronic flight bags, as well as interpreting weather and performance data.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, and to travel frequently as required by flight schedules.
High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree in aviation or a related field is beneficial, along with completion of recognized simulator and recurrent training programs.
