Part 135 On-Demand & Commuter Captain / Pilot-in-Command
Part-Time | Oʻahu-Based | Tecnam P2012
Pacific Air Charters is seeking experienced, professional Captains to operate the Tecnam P2012 Traveller in interisland Part 135 operations throughout Hawaiʻi.
This position includes day/night, IFR/VFR, single-pilot, and two-pilot operations in a modern Garmin glass-cockpit, multi-engine aircraft.
Minimum Qualifications
Unrestricted FAA Airline Transport Pilot Certificate – Airplane Multi-Engine Land
Current FAA First-Class Medical Certificate
FCC Restricted Radiotelephone Operator Permit
Fluent spoken and written English
Valid driver’s license
Valid passport permitting unrestricted international travel to and from the United States
Authorized to work in the United States
Minimum age of 23
Must reside on Oʻahu
Ability to lift and load baggage up to 50 lbs.
Ability to successfully complete required background, criminal history, and pre-employment drug screening
Ability and willingness to participate in the FAA/DOT drug and alcohol testing program
Ability to obtain and maintain required airport and security credentials
Excellent judgment, leadership skills, command ability, and professional maturity
Ability to work a varied schedule, including weekends, holidays, and nights, based on operational needs
Preferred Qualifications
Current and proficient in IFR operations
Flight experience in Hawaiʻi and Class B airspace
Garmin G1000 or comparable glass-cockpit experience
Recent piston multi-engine PIC experience
Previous Part 135 or Part 121 commercial flying experience
FAA Flight Instructor Certificate
Responsibilities
Serve as Pilot in Command of Part 91 and Part 135 domestic and international operations in compliance with applicable FAA regulations, ICAO requirements, company manuals, and operating procedures
Conduct flight planning, weather evaluation, weight and balance, aircraft performance, and operational risk assessment
Successfully complete required company training and Part 135 checking to company and ATP standards, and maintain all required PIC qualifications
Operate safely and professionally in both single-pilot and two-pilot environments
Maintain strong cockpit discipline, IFR proficiency, and procedural compliance
Complete required aircraft, flight, duty, and company documentation
Coordinate effectively with Maintenance, Operations, ground personnel, and fellow crewmembers
Provide professional and exceptional customer service and assist passengers with baggage as required
Mentor and support SICs and other crewmembers
Promote effective CRM, communication, standardization, and a strong safety culture
Communicate clearly, respectfully, and professionally, both verbally and in writing
Maintain a professional appearance consistent with company standards while on duty or representing Pacific Air Charters
Exercise sound judgment, discretion, accountability, and professionalism across all operational and administrative responsibilities

No guaranteed minimum monthly hours at this time
Must reside on Oʻahu; this is not a commuting position
Pay: From $100.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 5.0 per week
