The [Company] Company is seeking a Senior Simulator Flight Instructor experienced with transport category airplanes in Miami, Florida. This instructor will report to the Miami Head of Training instructing [Company] approved flight training courses to airline customers around the world out of the Miami campus.
Position Responsibilities:
Requires appropriate regulatory and/or customer certification and/or licensing with appropriate endorsements, compliant with local country aviation regulatory requirements
Performs and leads simulator and ground school instruction for various types of simulator training on company platforms
Designs and develops aircrew training material to meet company, customer and regulatory requirements
Develops and maintains training plans to ensure company, customer and regulatory requirements for skill, knowledge, training and authorizations are maintained to operate on multiple product platforms
Conducts training for customer pilots and ground based simulator flight instructors Mentors trainees as necessary
Assesses trainee progress performance by completing all required reports and records to allow third-party evaluation and audit
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
This position must meet export control compliance requirements. Tomeet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Currently hold a commercial license with a multi-engine rating
Willing to work variable shifts; including days, evenings, nights and weekends
Ability to travel domestically and/or internationally on short notice
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
FAA Air Transport Pilot Rating or Military Equivalent
2+ years of experience as a training device/simulator instructor
5+ years of experience flying transport category aircraft (or equivalent)
1000 hours of Pilot in Command
Experience as a Pilot Simulator Instructor, or Pilot Line Check Airman in Transport Category Aircraft, or Military equivalent
Typical Education/Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 14 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+9 years' related work experience, Master+12 years' related work experience, 18 years' related work experience, etc.).
