Location: Miami / South Florida (home base Miami-area FBO)
Compensation: $140,000 per year
About the role
A private Part 91 flight department in Miami Beach is looking for an experienced corporate flight attendant who also wants to run the operation. You'll manage a Gulfstream G650 shared by two owners and be the single point of contact for everything cabin, scheduling and supply. It's a hands-on leadership role with real ownership.
Responsibilities
1. Flight desk (primary)
- Manage scheduling for one G650 shared by two owners, and resolve conflicts proactively and diplomatically
- When one owner is using the G650, arrange Flexjet or charter lift for the other, including quotes, booking and passenger details
- Coordinate with the pilots, management company, FBOs, ground transportation, and international handlers as needed
- Keep trip sheets, passenger preferences, and the flight calendar accurate and up to date
2. Lead flight attendant
- Serve as the primary flight attendant on G650 trips, domestic and international
- Recruit, vet, brief and manage a bench of contract flight attendants, and hold them to a consistent standard
- Own cabin safety, service flow and the passenger experience end to end
3. Aircraft provisioning
- Plan and source catering for each trip, using preferred caterers in Miami and at destinations
- Keep the aircraft stocked with provisions, beverages, linens, amenities, and cabin and galley supplies
- Track inventory and cabin condition, and coordinate cleaning and detailing
Qualifications
- 3+ years as a corporate/private flight attendant; large-cabin Gulfstream experience strongly preferred
- Current corporate flight attendant training (FlightSafety, CAE or equivalent), with medical/first aid (e.g. MedAire) and food safety certification
- Flight scheduling or flight desk experience preferred
- Valid passport and the ability to travel internationally; Spanish a plus
- Flexible life situation, available for short-notice and last-minute trips
- Exceptional discretion, polish, and organization
- Lives in or relocating to South Florida
How to apply
Send your resume and answers to the application questions below. Applications without answers won't be reviewed.
Application questions
1. This is a full-time, direct-hire W-2 role working only for our family's flight department, not a contract or freelance role. Why does that appeal to you, and what would you be giving up or stepping away from?
2. Tell us about your life situation and flexibility. If we call at 9 PM for a 7 AM departure, how does that work for you? What would make short-notice trips hard?
3. Walk us through your flight attendant background: aircraft types (G650/G-series especially), Part 91 vs. Part 135, roughly how many years or hours, and your training (FlightSafety/CAE cabin, medical/MedAire, food safety, etc.).
4. (Most important) What small details do you do that turn a good flight into an amazing one? Give us specific examples.
5. When you hire and manage contract flight attendants, what do you look for and what's a dealbreaker? How do you brief and hold them to your standard?
6. Describe your flight desk or scheduling experience: trip planning, coordinating crew, FBOs, catering, and booking Flexjet/charter. What tools have you used?
7. Two owners share one G650. If both want the plane on the same day, how would you handle it, and how would you arrange a great alternative for the one who doesn't get it?
