ROLE OVERVIEW
As Chief Flight Attendant at [Company], you will lead the cabin crew team and ensure the highest standards of safety, service, and regulatory compliance across all operations. This role combines leadership, operational oversight, and a strong focus on passenger experience. You will manage safety programs, coordinate reporting processes, and champion a culture of excellence and accountability within the cabin crew. Acting as a key liaison between flight operations and corporate leadership, you will drive innovation in safety practices and service delivery to align with [Company]’s mission and values.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Leadership & Supervision
Manage and supervise all flight attendants, ensuring adherence to company policies and Transport Canada regulations.
Oversee scheduling, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions for cabin crew.
Foster a positive team culture aligned with [Company]’s values.
Safety & Compliance
Participate in the company’s Safety Management System (SMS).
Assure a current and approved Flight Attendant Manual is in place at all times.
Design and deliver interactive safety feature cards.
Ensure compliance with Canadian Aviation Regulations (CARs)
Maintain and update cabin safety procedures in collaboration with the Safety Management System (SMS).
Act as the company’s authority on cabin safety and emergency procedures.
Training & Development
Ensure current and approved initial and annual training programs for flight attendants are in place.
In compliance with the approved training program, mentor and coach cabin crew to maintain high standards of safety, professionalism and in-flight service.
Maintain records of all Flight Attendants training.
Operational Duties
Manage and distribute Safety Management and other reports.
Liaise with flight operations and other departments to ensure smooth coordination of in-flight services.
Respond to operational challenges and provide solutions in real time.
Represent cabin crew interests in management meetings and contribute to policy development.
For all absences, ensure all necessary responsibilities are delegated to a qualified employee.
Perform the Flight Attendant duties as required.
Take on additional responsibilities that support the success of the Flight Operations department.
WHAT MAKES YOU AN IDEAL CANDIDATE
Post-secondary education in a related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience as a senior flight attendant or in a supervisory cabin crew role.
In-depth knowledge of Canadian Aviation Regulations (CARs) and Safety Management Systems (SMS).
Proficiency in digital reporting tools and workflow platforms.
Strong understanding of emergency procedures, safety protocols, and risk management.
Proven ability to lead and motivate cabin crew teams in dynamic environments.
Exceptional communication and conflict resolution skills.
Ability to influence and champion safety culture across diverse teams.
Strong organizational and time-management skills for managing schedules and compliance tasks.
Analytical mindset for interpreting safety data and driving process improvements.
Languages: Bilingual (French/English) required; Inuktitut is an asset.
Availability to travel and work flexible hours.
Ability to obtain a RAIC AND Transport Canada accreditation.
