G-V pilots will be responsible for supporting mission planning, aircrew mobilization, weather decisions, airspace coordination, and safe operation of the company’s modified Gulfstream V aircraft.
Pilots must be able to operate independently in austere environments worldwide and interface with domestic and foreign government representatives in support of the contract. This position requires an active or eligible security clearance as recognized by appropriate authorities.
Pilot aircraft as Pilot in Command (PIC) and Second in Command (SIC) in support of CONUS and OCONUS airborne data acquisition flight activities.
Travel and rotational deployment to CONUS and possible austere OCONUS duty locations is required.
Must be able to secure a Secret level security clearance and complete pre-deployment training in accordance with governmental standards through either a USACE Deployment Center or a CONUS Replacement Center.
Perform precise aerial survey flight operations driven by diverse sensor requirements.
Perform functional check flights.
Comply with Federal Aviation Regulations, Army 95-20 regulations, and company flight operation and standard operating procedures.
Conduct pre-flight and post-flight briefings for Tenax and customer personnel.
Represent Tenax by supporting our customer and presenting a professional pilot image to both customers and the general public.
Maintain daily communication while on assignment with the Chief Pilot and Flight Operations Manager.
Other flight assignments and duties as assigned.
This position has no direct reports.
Operates primarily in field locations.
Routinely uses standard office equipment.
Travel and rotational deployment to CONUS and possibly austere OCONUS duty locations are required.
High School Diploma.
Current FAA Multi-Engine Commercial Pilot License with Instrument Rating.
FAA Class II Medical Certificate.

Total time: 3,000 hours
Multiengine turbine time: 1,500 hours
Multiengine turbojet time (of the above): 500 hours
Must have 1,000 hours PIC, including 300 hours in a similar type aircraft.
Restricted Radiotelephone Operator’s Permit.
Valid driver’s license and international driver’s permit.
Capable of lifting at least 50 pounds.
Ability to work extra hours when necessary.
Possess a current U.S. Passport.
Able to secure necessary VISA(s).
Maintain all required pilot medical certificates, type ratings, and recurrent training.
Must meet minimum pilot qualifications required by contract.
Must possess and maintain a Secret level (or higher) security clearance.
Must be able to complete pre-deployment training, DOT drug testing, and a medical examination in accordance with program standards through a CONUS Replacement Center.
ATP Certificate.
Gulfstream V type rating and/or current proficiency in multiengine turbojet large cabin aircraft.
International PIC flight experience.
Prior U.S. Government operational flight experience.
Experience flying ISR, aerial mapping, or airborne data collection mission profiles.
Prior overseas military or government rotation experience.
Familiarity with DCMA Instruction 8210-1C or Army Regulation 95-20.
Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
