The Trip Planning Specialist is the primary point of contact between Pentastar Flight Operations and the Customer’s Aviation Manager.
Responsibilities include:
Interact with Account Managers and other staff daily as a single point of contact.
Ultimate responsibility for communication with the Aviation Manager.
Managing all aspects of special requests on behalf of the client.
Responsible for managing crew schedules, assignments and activities, crew scheduling reports, coordinating with Pentastar’s Crew Compliance for legality and training needs, and processing crew PTO, ASDO and RQDO.
Responsible for scheduling and coordinating client trips in accordance with established Pentastar and policies and procedures.
Comprehensively assist Pentastar Flight Support to ensure comprehensive trip management and follow through.
Responsible for assigning, processing and communicating all crewmember activities.
Resolving conflict of multiple trip requests, client movements, crewmembers’ availability and policies and procedures.
Review and audit trip expenses for each trip flown.
Must be available to provide 7-day contact for customer administrative personnel, Flight Support personnel, and crew members for questions and concerns.
Act in a proactive manner:
Looking ahead for upcoming scheduling issues
Providing solutions before the problem
Educating others regarding Pentastar intricacies
Being knowledgeable of customer preferences (MSL, etc.)
Lead and participate in morning meetings with Client as needed.
Primarily being present on-site at the customers Aviation Department location (KDTW).
Requirements
Qualifications:
FAA Dispatch License required.
Prior aviation experience (pilot, dispatch, etc) required.
- Technical knowledge of aircraft capabilities and limitations regarding international and domestic regulations and restrictions.
- Technical knowledge of weather, airspace flow, aircraft performance, regulatory compliance, and international operations required.
Flexible schedule based on the needs of the customer required.
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office products & Company software programs required.
Strong customer service skills are required.
Strong written and verbal skills required.
