Our Aviation team is evolving to meet the needs of our growing business and we are expanding to support our needs. This position is located and based at [Company]’s Aviation Hangar in Calgary, Alberta.
We are seeking an Aviation Pilot who has knowledge and experience in the safe and efficient operation of Company aircraft under CARs 604 Flight Rules, and in the performance of assigned duties as Captain on the corporate jet.
What You'll Do
Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of Company aircraft under CARs 604 and FAR Part 91 Flight Rules, and in the performance of assigned duties as Pilot in Command;
Manage the flight to ensure each trip is flown safely, effectively and efficiently;
Perform duties as Pilot Flying or Pilot Monitoring;
Evaluate all risk factors to maintain the highest degree of safety possible;
Keep up to date with new policies, procedures, regulations, SMS and company standards;
Properly arrange security for aircraft when away from home base;
Record aircraft discrepancies for maintenance corrective action and maintain flight logs;
Adhere to SOPs, Operations Manual, International Operations, SMS and/or IS-BAO best practices and checklist philosophy;
Maintain thorough systems and operational knowledge of assigned aircraft;
Full understanding of flight planning requirements for domestic and international destinations;
Perform arrival and departure preparation;
Ensure that the aircraft is airworthy, properly equipped and operated within weight and balance limitations;
Perform non-flying duties such as completing logbooks and paperwork, booking hotels, crew transportation, baggage handling and catering and cabin services;
Good communication skills and acts with tact and decorum;
Maintain an image that positively reflects [Company];
Provides leadership to functional teams and projects within the Aviation Department;
Perform ancillary duties as assigned by the Chief Pilot.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school graduate required or Bachelor degree preferred;
Minimum of 10 years’ flying experience and corporate experience preferred;
Minimum of 5,000 hours total time and 3000 hours PIC time;
Minimum of 1000 hours jet experience;
International flying experience required;
Valid Passport;
Valid FCC Restricted Radiotelephone Operator Permit;
Current and able to maintain a First Class Medical;
Meet ICAO international requirements.
This position requires candidates to:
Have current, valid authorization to travel internationally (including but not limited to Canada, US and Mexico)
Successfully complete pre-employment medical screening including drug and alcohol testing
Travel to other company locations for temporary assignments, meetings or training
