Compensation: Salary range $80,000 - $125,000 is combination of base pay and flight pay; Commensurate to Skills and Experience.
Hours: Full-time: Monday -Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm

The Company designs, develops, constructs, and operates biogas renewable energy generation systems, primarily on dairy farms. Our projects include anaerobic digesters, biogas-powered electric generation, and renewable natural gas upgrading.
Position Description
The Chief Pilot is responsible for the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of [Company]’ aircraft. This role includes planning and executing flights, coordinating aircraft maintenance, and transporting staff to various locations, primarily located in California but also extends to other states. The Chief Pilot works closely with the CEO and other executives to support business travel and operational logistics.

Responsibilities
Coordinate and oversee maintenance schedules and repairs for both aircraft.
Operate company aircraft in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all aviation regulations and company policies.
Coordinate and oversee flight missions, including pre-flight planning, in-flight operations, and post-flight procedures for all company flights.
Build and maintain relationships with potential local pilots and commonly used FBOs.
Conduct thorough pre-flight inspections to ensure the aircraft is airworthy and all systems are functioning properly.
Monitor weather conditions and make necessary adjustments to flight plans to ensure safety.
Coordinate and Communicate flights schedules and pre-flight team communication.
Maintain accurate flight logs and records.
Ensure the aircraft is clean, well-maintained, and stocked with necessary supplies.
Stay current with industry developments, regulations, and best practices.
Participate in ongoing training and professional development.
Qualifications & Skills
Valid commercial pilot’s license with multi-engine and instrument ratings.
Minimum of 3,000 flight hours, including significant experience in corporate aviation.
Strong knowledge of FAA regulations and aviation safety standards.
Excellent decision-making and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work flexible hours and adapt to changing schedules.
Must be proficient in English.
Insurance Qualification Requirements for Pilots
For Cessna Citation 525:
Airline Transport Pilot Certificate with current instrument rating
4,000 total flying hours as pilot-in-command
3,000 hours in multi-engine aircraft as pilot-in-command
2,000 hours in turbojet aircraft as pilot-in-command
500 hours in Cessna Citation 525 model aircraft as pilot-in-command
For Beech King Air B200:
Commercial or more advanced pilot certificate with current instrument rating
3,000 total flying hours as pilot-in-command
2,000 hours in multi-engine aircraft as pilot-in-command
1,000 hours in turboprop aircraft as pilot-in-command
250 hours in Beech King Air model aircraft as pilot-in-command
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
Experience flying a variety of aircraft types, including jets and turboprops.
Previous experience as a corporate or charter pilot.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
Experience with aviation software and flight planning tools.

Work Environment
This job mainly operates in a professional office environment and an airplane. The role routinely uses standard office equipment and airplane equipment.
Physical Demands
This is largely a sedentary role with travel required. This would require the ability to walk up and down stairs, and to enter, travel in, and exit vehicles and airplanes.
