Role Description
The Chief Pilot will assist the Director of Operations with the safe and regulatory compliant conduct of a 135 Commuter and On-Demand operation. The Chief Pilot will focus on providing qualified crew members to meet schedule demand while adhering to required duty and rest limitations. The Chief Pilot has the authority to direct all operation functions and must be highly knowledgeable of the entire contents of the General Operations Manual, Operations Specifications, and Federal Aviation Regulations pertaining to the company operations. The Chief Pilot should have operating knowledge of SMS Systems and ASAP Programs.
Qualifications
FAA Airline Transport Pilot license
100 hours King Air 200
Requires a minimum of 4,000 hours of flight experience and 2,000 hours of pilot-in-command experience
Experience in flight operations, safety management, and crew management
Knowledge of FAA regulations and aviation best practices
Excellent decision-making and problem-solving skills
Strong leadership and communication skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
Applicants must possess qualifications prescribed in 14 CFR 119.71
Candidate must live within one hour of [Company]’s home base (KSFB)
Bachelor's in Aviation Administration or Similar
First Class Medical
Responsibilities
Maintain the company’s objective of providing safe and efficient air transportation in accordance with company policies, procedures, FAA, and other government agency regulations.
Lead & manage a small team of pilots, fostering a culture of safety, integrity & customer service.
Perform flight duties on qualified aircraft.
Organize and oversee pilot training and development, including scheduling initial and recurrent training per fleet policies and safety standards.
Verify that all crewmembers are compliant with Federal Aviation Regulations.
Be involved in interviewing, recruiting, hiring, and onboarding new pilots.
Maintain accurate reporting and record-keeping practices.
Other duties as assigned by the Director of Operations.
