We are seeking an experienced and highly qualified Director of Maintenance (DOM) to oversee the maintenance operations for a Part 91 corporate aircraft fleet. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Challenger and Learjet aircraft, excellent leadership skills, and a thorough understanding of FAA regulations and Part 91 maintenance requirements.

The Director of Maintenance will be responsible for ensuring the fleet is maintained to the highest standards of safety, reliability, and regulatory compliance while coordinating maintenance activities, vendors, inspections, and aircraft scheduling.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct and manage all aircraft maintenance activities for the Part 91 operation.

• Ensure aircraft are maintained in accordance with applicable FAA regulations, manufacturer requirements, and company policies.

• Maintain accurate and complete aircraft maintenance records and

  documentation.

• Coordinate scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, inspections, repairs,

  and modifications.

• Monitor aircraft maintenance status and upcoming inspection requirements.

• Coordinate with aircraft manufacturers, MROs, repair stations, vendors, and

  technical representatives.

• Review maintenance discrepancies and determine appropriate corrective

  actions.

• Track aircraft downtime and work with flight operations to minimize operation disruptions.

• Ensure compliance with applicable Airworthiness Directives,

  Service Bulletins, and maintenance programs.

• Manage maintenance budgets, vendor relationships, and outside

  maintenance providers.

• Provide technical guidance and leadership to maintenance personnel.

• Maintain a strong safety culture and ensure maintenance activities are

  performed in accordance with established procedures.

• Support aircraft acquisitions, inspections, pre-buy evaluations, and aircraft onboarding as needed.

• Maintain familiarity with aircraft-specific maintenance programs and technical publications.

• Required Qualifications

  • Current FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) certificate — required.

  • Demonstrated experience managing maintenance for Part 91 aircraft

    operations.

  • Learjet aircraft maintenance experience — required.

  • Significant experience in business aviation maintenance.

  • Strong knowledge of FAA regulations, particularly 14 CFR Part 43 and

    Part 91.

  • Experience coordinating inspections, repairs, modifications, and heavy

    maintenance events.

  • Strong understanding of aircraft maintenance records and regulatory

    compliance.

  • Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple maintenance events and priorities in a

    fast-paced flight operation.

  • Willingness to travel as required to support aircraft and maintenance

    events.

• Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience serving as a Director of Maintenance, Maintenance Manager, or similar leadership role.

  • Experience with multiple Challenger and Learjet models.

  • Familiarity with CAMP, Flightdocs, Traxxall, or other computerized

    maintenance tracking systems.

  • Experience managing outside MRO facilities and maintenance vendors.

  • Inspection Authorization (IA) is a plus.

  • Experience with aircraft acquisition, pre-buy inspections, and conformity evaluations is a plus.
