Support the Inflight Base Manager, Flight Attendants, and all aspects of the operation within the base regarding the Inflight Department, always inspiring the Crewmembers to achieve operational and performance excellence. This is demonstrated by a culture of Safety Always, genuine caring, and promoting our Purpose, Values, and Vision. This position will always ensure Flight Attendant support, especially when the Inflight Base Manager is not present.
Responsibilities
On-time operational performance is achieved by supporting the Crews and being actively involved in the day-to-day activities. Will support the Flight Attendants directly in the operation. May be called upon to fly as a Crewmember as needed.
Engaging and supporting a diverse team of Flight Attendants while building trust while demonstrating Avelo values.
Recognize Flight Attendants for exemplary service and performance.
Administrative aspects, including but not limited to, ensuring cost control, conducting and participating in Inflight investigations, keeping Flight Attendant performance and dependability records current and up to date, adhering to record keeping processes, and effectively utilizing essential digital applications, computer programs, and technology.
Effective communication and coordination with all base Crewmembers (Airports, Flight Ops, Tech Ops) is achieved performing as “One Crew”.
Support, and proactively promote Company and departmental changes, priorities, and projects.
Consistent application of standards described in the Flight Attendant Playbook, OneCrew Way Handbook, Inflight Services Manual, and all other Avelo standards.
Assist Customers needing assistance during an evacuation
Keep confidential, non-public Company information, Crewmember records and personal information, and Company investigations.
Complete all other tasks and requirements assigned by Inflight Manager or other Leadership.
Inspire, coach, and encourage Crewmembers
Requirements
Minimum of two (2) years of airline Inflight experience.
Minimum of two (2) years of management experience, preferably in the airline industry.?
Prior Flight Attendant experience is preferred
Functional knowledge of Inflight operations.
Ability to deliver feedback, enforce Company standards, and uphold accountability.
Effectively demonstrate strong organizational, planning, written and oral communication skills.
Ability to identify concerns or patterns and effectively problem-solve
Ability to work independently and make effective decisions based on Avelo standards and values.
Ability to motivate and develop Crewmembers to support performance, engagement, and growth
Sound decision making and judgment skills
Strong work ethic with attention to detail and appropriate time management, with minimal oversight.
Participate in all functions of the base as it pertains to Inflight, as necessary (may be asked to represent Inflight if Base Inflight Manager is unavailable)?
Balancing and sequencing multiple objectives
Working under pressure while meeting deadlines
Demonstrated conflict resolution and decision-making capability
Proven ability to work independently and in a team environment
Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function and requirement of the position.
Strong knowledge of computer skills and capabilities to develop programs working in conjunction with the Avelo IT team
Ability to work on site, including weekends, and holidays
Attend and successfully complete all Avelo Flight Attendant training requirements.
Ability to travel as needed?
Vision must be at least 20/40 with glasses or contact lenses
Ability to physically lift 50 pounds from ground to waist
Be able to walk forward down the aircraft aisle without interfering with comfort of seated customers
Be seated in jumpseat with all belts/restraints fastened, without use of seatbelt extension
Maintain balance while walking and standing during flight
Must be able to Stand, sit, stoop, bend, reach, and crouch for long periods of time
Push or pull aircraft doors/exits, or food/beverage carts with force of up to 100 lbs.
Adhere to the Inflight appearance standards.
May perform other responsibilities as assigned. Responsibilities and duties may change when circumstances dictate (e.g., emergencies, changes in workload, etc.).
