[Company], the authorized Caterpillar dealer serving Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, Delaware and Washington D.C. is hiring a Chief Pilot/Captain in Salem, Virginia at our corporate headquarters. The Chief Pilot/Captain is responsible for safely operating the aircraft, performing pre- and post-flight inspections; preparing the flight plans; communicating with the Air Traffic Controllers throughout the flight; monitoring cockpit instruments and reporting any malfunctions; maintaining company flight department resources and ensuring that flight operations are conducted with the utmost regard to safety, reliability and efficiency. Seeking candidates with a minimum five years private/transport flight experience. Minimum 4,000 hours of flight time. FAA Airline Transport Pilot License.
Requirements for the Chief Pilot/Captain position include:
FAA Airline Transport Pilot License (ATP).
20/20 vision (or correctable to 20/20).
FAA Type Rating(s) for company aircraft.
Thorough understanding of Federal Aviation regulations and safety procedures.
Must be able to thoroughly perform pre- and post-flight airplane inspections.
Must possess ability to prepare accurate flight plans.
Must be able to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful situations.
Must have proficient knowledge with respect to flight operations manuals, regulations, and standards.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to prioritize and delegate as needed.
