About [Company] [Company] is a dynamic and rapidly growing Part 61 flight school who is starting a partnership with a prominent University as a Part 141-approved training facility. We specialize in professional pilot development through structured, safety-driven training programs. Our mission is to deliver exceptional and affordable flight training. We are seeking a highly experienced, motivated, and FAA-qualified Chief Flight Instructor to lead our flight training department in accordance with all applicable FAA regulations, specifically 14 CFR Part 141. Pay: Based on experience Key Responsibilities
Ensure compliance with FAA Part 141 and maintain the highest training standards.
Oversee all Part 141 flight training courses, curricula, and student progression.
Supervise, evaluate, and mentor all assistant chief instructors and flight instructors.
Maintain accurate records of student training, instructor currency, and FAA documentation.
Conduct stage checks, instructor standardization flights, and instructor onboarding.
Serve as the primary liaison with the FAA regarding training audits and certifications.
Promote a proactive safety culture and manage the safety risk management system for the flight department.
Minimum Requirements (per 14 CFR §141.35):
Valid CFI certificates(Airplane Single-Engine Land).
At least 2 years as a flight and 500 hours of primary dual given, or 1,000 hours total flight instruction.
100 hours of flight time under actual or simulated instrument conditions.
1,000 hours as pilot in command (PIC).
Instrument flight instructor experience (as CFII or military), consisting of at least:
2 years and 250 hours of instrument instruction, or
400 hours of instrument instruction.
Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive, solutions-driven mindset
MEI Preferred
General FAA Requirements:
Commercial Pilot Certificate or ATP with airplane category and instrument rating.
Ground instructor certificate or equivalent knowledge/training responsibilities.
Strong familiarity with 14 CFR Part 141 curriculum, standards, and reporting.
