Purpose of Position

The Training Capacity Specialist, Senior requires full proficiency in Training Capacity with limited supervision.  This position will be proficient in all areas of Training Capacity and serve as a role model to the team as far as quality of work, professionalism, and living the 20/20 Flight Plan.  This position will be a resource for newer colleagues with less experience and can represent Training Capacity through shadowing, projects, and presentations.

Tasks and Responsibilities

• Schedule Crewmembers for currency related training events.  Associated duties include schedule modification, slot procurement, proper documentation, due month tracking, flight following, briefing and qualificaiton oversight    

• Publish crewmember monthly operational schedules in compliance with the CBA.  Communicate post publication schedule changes to all applicable parties.  Process the schedule bid awards, review post IOE schedule options, vacation rescheduling options and QC daily and monthly crewmember schedules.       

• Gather, interpret and respond to inquires initiated by crewmembers and other internal / external customers regarding scheduling policies, contractual requirements and / or other Training Capacity questions.

• Create, load and order travel into Ijet2 timeline for crewmembers attending scheduled training events when Crew Training Travel is unable to order the travel.  

• Preside over duty code entries and comments as well as schedule type, fleet, and rank records within rostering. Administering leave of absence duty codes for LOA and return to work crewmembers. 

• Communicate proper crewmember pay changes to payroll and other duties as assigned.

• Serve as a subject matter expert for Training Capacity, and provide solutions to infrequent or irregular issues

• Demonstrate the level of excellence and the culture expected by the team

• 2+ years experience in Training Capacity or comparable role.

• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment

• Ability to communicate in a professional manner in stressful situations

• Acts as subject matter expert in all aspects of schedule publication and training scheduling

• Ability to make autonomous decisions while taking multiple variables into account

• Proficiency in electronic tools including IntelliJet, Crew Avail, and the Microsoft Office suite. 

• Knowledge of pilot and flight attendant contract language
