About the Opportunity
A rare opening exists for an experienced Captain to join a premier single-aircraft Part 135/91 operation managed by one of Northern California's most established aviation companies.
Position Summary
This Captain serves as the cornerstone of the Principals' aviation program, supported by a full-service management infrastructure. Reporting directly to the Director of Operations, you will oversee all aspects of the aircraft's operation, ensuring every mission—domestic or international—is executed with precision, safety, and world-class service.
Key Responsibilities
Pilot-in-Command: Exercise full authority and responsibility for all flight operations.
Principal Liaison: Serve as the primary operational contact for the Principals and their representatives, ensuring seamless communication and an exceptional travel experience.
Service Excellence: Uphold the highest standards of safety, confidentiality, and guest service on every mission.
Crew Coordination: Partner with the dedicated flight crew to maintain balanced scheduling and promote a collaborative team environment.
Operational Coordination: Work closely with maintenance, scheduling, and operations teams to ensure reliability and compliance.
Company Integration: Leverage the full support of the management company to coordinate logistics, compliance, and resources.
Candidate Qualifications
Type Rating: Gulfstream GV/G450 type rating strongly preferred; comparable large-cabin Gulfstream experience considered.
Flight Experience:
3,500 hours total fixed wing
1,500 hours multi-engine land
1,500 hours PIC
1,500 hours turbojet
500 hours GV/G550 PIC preferred (other large-cabin jet time considered)
Certifications: FAA ATP Certificate, current FAA First-Class Medical, FCC Radio License.
Professionalism: Exceptional communication skills, discretion, and sound judgment.
Residence: Preferably within a two-hour commute of the San Francisco Bay Area or willing to relocate; commuter arrangements may be considered.
Availability: Valid U.S. passport and ability to travel globally without restriction.
