Position Summary:
The SIC reports to the Chief Pilot for all aircraft records and operational reports and to the Director of Operations for all administrative requirements. The SIC is responsible to the Captain of the flight for the conduct and execution of assigned duties. Some of the SIC’s duties include:

The Second in Command must be detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of managing multiple tasks in a dynamic environment. The key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
The SIC reports to the Chief Pilot for all aircraft records and operational reports and to the Director of Operations for all administrative requirements. The SIC is responsible to the Captain of the flight for the conduct and execution of assigned duties. Some of the SIC’s duties include:
1. Assist the captain with discharging safety responsibilities.
2. Provide excellent customer service to passengers.
3. Perform duties as assigned during flight preparation and in flight.
4. Be prepared to assume the duties of the Second in Command in the event the Second in Command is incapacitated.
5. Be familiar with and following all 14 CFRs and company policies pertinent to assigned duties.
6. Ensure that he/she is current and qualified to operate the aircraft to which he/she is assigned. This includes, but is not limited to: training, testing, compliance with flight time restrictions and rest requirements, maintaining a current medical certificate as required and notifies the Chief Pilot if any medical (physical or mental) condition exists that may impair his/her ability to perform as a crewmember, and all other applicable Federal Aviation Regulations.
7. Be knowledgeable of and follow the Tri-State Charter Safety Policy.
Required Qualifications:
Education:
Must have a high school diploma or GED.
Required Qualifications:
1000 Total Flight Time Hours
Holds a valid Commercial Pilot License and a valid Instrument Rating for the category of aircraft operated;
If applicable, holds a type rating for at least one of the types of aircraft operated;
Is qualified in accordance with TSC's training program to act as a pilot-in-command on one of the types to be operated; and
Demonstrates knowledge of the content of the Company Operations Manual, Training Manuals, Standard Operating Procedures, Company Check Pilot Manual (if applicable), and the provisions of the civil aviation regulations and standards necessary to carry out the duties and responsibilities of the position.
