GULFSTREAM G-550 PILOT ON RETAINER
Part-Time Retainer Position — Captain (PIC) — 10 Days/Month
We are seeking an experienced, current Gulfstream G-550 Captain for a part-time retainer position — not full-time employment. The role guarantees 10 flight days per month with a single operator, based near a major East Coast airport. This is ideal for a contract pilot who wants steady, recurring monthly work while remaining available for other flying.
COMPENSATION
● Monthly retainer: $20,000, covering 10 guaranteed flight days per month
● Part-time / on-call arrangement — not a full-time position
● Additional days beyond the 10-day guarantee compensated at $2,500 day rate
● Positioning is considered as one of the 10 days
● Recurrent training (simulator and type-specific) covered by the company after 6 months of continuous service
LOCATION
● Based near a major East Coast airport (specific base to be finalized with candidate)
● Availability required for 10 days per month; scheduling flexibility required
REQUIREMENTS
● Must reside on the East Coast, near a major airport
● Current Gulfstream G-550 type rating, PIC
● Minimum 2,500 total flight hours, with at least 500 hours in type
● Current simulator training strongly preferred (recency is a key qualification factor)
● Valid FAA first-class medical certificate
● Clean FAA and driving record; ability to pass a background check
● U.S. work authorization
