Position Summary
The Pilot will function as either the PIC or the SIC on each trip. The Pilot’s primary role is to actively participate in the planning, execution and completion of all flight related activities by ensuring our passengers have a safe and pleasant flight with service that continually meets or exceeds their expectations
Roles and Responsibilities
Continually ensure the safe conduct of flights to which s/he is assigned
Provide the highest level of service to all passengers
Ensure compliance with all federal, state, local and foreign regulations as well as the policies and procedures specified in the company General Operations Manual
Actively engaged in all aspects of pre-flight planning to include a complete review of all available airport information, air traffic, weather, NOTAMS, TFRs and any other information pertinent to the planned flight with an emphasis on safety, comfort, and mission accomplishment
Review and calculate the aircraft weight & balance, fuel and performance planning then run and file applicable flight plans
Ensure the aircraft is clean and prepared for each flight with all provisions on board for the safety and comfort of all passengers
Responsible for aircraft servicing and handling while away from home base
Ensure the proper use of every checklist for each phase of flight and ground operations
Make decisions necessary for the safe completion of each flight
Set the tone for each trip by continually exuding a confident attitude to facilitate a positive, team-oriented atmosphere where all input is accepted and considered during all decision making processes.
Conducts himself/herself in a business-like manner, properly dressed, confident, courteous and showing evident good will that will be reassuring to passengers and indicate a concern for their safety, comfort and well being
Utilize effective CRM techniques with all member of the Aviation Department team
Ensure currency of all required licenses, certificates, ratings and training
Education/experience/certifications
Minimum 4,000 total hours with 1,000 as PIC in turbine powered aircraft
Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) rated with appropriate type rating in aircraft to be flown
Radiotelephone Operator permit
FAA First Class Medical
U.S. Passport (a least 9 months remaining before expiration)
Ability to travel internationally (no restrictions)
Knowledge of all applicable Federal Aviation Regulations
Experience dispatching, flight planning and commanding aircraft to any approved worldwide destinations including operations in RVSM, MNPS/NAT HLA, Metric and QFE regions.
Bachelor’s Degree (B.A. or B.S.) from an accredited institution
Ability to manage a flight crew consisting of 2 Pilots and one Flight Attendant
Other requirements
Must be accessible by phone or email 24/7 except when on scheduled days off
Must be able to travel on as little as 3 hours’ notice
Must be willing to work nights, weekends, holidays as needed
Work hours can extend beyond normal office hours
Domestic and International travel required
Ability to lift items weighing up to 40 lbs. from floor to shoulder level
Physical ability to perform all required job functions must not be hindered
Proficient in MS-Word and Excel (basic level)
Permanent residence within 60 minutes of KFTY
