Responsibilities
As a pilot, you represent SWISS. Together with the entire crew, you ensure our guests reach their destinations safely and on time, sharing responsibility for the aircraft, crew, passengers, and cargo on board. Additional duties include:
Operating SWISS aircraft safely and efficiently, while prioritizing punctuality, cost-effectiveness, and high quality standards for our guests
Preparing and conducting flights in accordance with SWISS guidelines
Collaborating with the crew, ground staff, and air traffic control
Supporting and deputizing for the Captain in all matters
Continuously maintaining and deepening professional knowledge through personal initiative

To work as a Direct Entry First Officer A320 at SWISS, the following criteria must be met:
In addition to completing your secondary education (Matura/Abitur, Diplom HF, or general/specialized university entrance qualification), you must meet the following requirements:
ATPL(A), CPL(A)/IR with ATPL(A) theory credit, or MPL license (EASA Part-FCL)
Advanced UPRT training in accordance with EASA.FCL.745
Valid A320 type rating
Multi-Engine IR rating with PBN
Minimum of 800 flight hours on the A320 family
Class 1 medical certificate
Documented flight experience record with no gaps (logbook extract, license, etc.)
Swiss citizenship or EU-27/EFTA passport
Very good German language skills (proof of at least C1 level required if German is not your native or everyday language) & good English skills (minimum ICAO Level 4)
Clean criminal record
Willingness to be vaccinated with vaccines approved in Switzerland (including COVID-19, yellow fever, etc.)
Height: 160–198 cm
Maximum age: 56 years (based on the Collective Labour Agreement)
