The manager provides leadership, oversight and direction for all airport-related activities; plans, organizes, directs, supervises, monitors, and evaluates the operations, maintenance, growth, development and administrative activities of the Yakima Air Terminal ("YAT"). Promotes teamwork and fosters a positive relationship with City personnel (elected officials, management, and staff), as well as with airport users, occupants, vendors, and community at large.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in Aviation, Public Administration, Business Administration, Engineering or related field is required PLUS seven (7) years of increasingly responsible experience in airport management and airport operations, including three (3) years of administrative and supervisory experience at an airport. Extensive public relations experience is required.
LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS AND/OR CERTIFICATES:
Must possess and maintain a valid Driver's License and obtain a Washington State License upon hire.
Ability to pass a ten (10) year background check for security clearance to obtain a Security Identification Display Area badge upon hire.
Airport Security Coordinator (ASC) training certificate required or obtained within six (6) months of hire date.
American Association of Airport Executives, Certified Member OR Accredited Airport Executive (A.A.E.) certification from the American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE) preferred.
