Private employer searching for a Pilot-in-Command for EMB135BJ and EMB550 aircrafts based in KMLI. This aviation department consists of five pilots, two aircraft operated under FAR part 91 operations, and is supported by a maintenance technician and a flight scheduler.

Salary range: $160,000 - $180,000

What does the day-to-day look like?
Pilot-in-Command takes the lead overseeing operations of aircraft and crew with responsibility for ensuring safe and efficient transport of passengers and crew on both domestic and international flights through the following:
Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, internal policies, and procedures as outlined in the Flight Operations Manual;
Assist the Pilot Flying (PF) in the safe and efficient operation of the aircraft, including takeoffs, landings, and flight procedures;
Maintain aircraft readiness by ensuring cleanliness, proper stocking, and required documentation;
Conduct pre-flight planning, including weather checks, NOTAM reviews, and fuel, oil, and oxygen assessments;
Verify aircraft airworthiness, registration, and navigation database updates;
Monitor fuel levels, communicate with air traffic control (ATC) as needed, and report any FAA violations or incidents;
Participate in the safety management system (SMS) and mentor less-experienced crew members;
Coordinate catering and other customer-specific needs onboard;
Perform additional duties as assigned by the Director of Air Operations or the Pilot Flying (PF); and
Mentoring and coaching crew members to maximize or stretch individual potential.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Minimum Requirements
Upon offer of employment and acceptance with agreed upon start date, candidate must reside within 80-mile radius of KMLI by said start date.
Qualified Pilot-in-Command candidates must meet (or exceed) flight time requirements as follows:
3,000 hours multi-engine pilot-in-command time;
4,000 hours pilot-in-command; and
1,500 hours turbojet pilot-in-command time.
Experience
Previous work experience on a small team is a plus!
Bachelor’s degree in aviation, aerospace, or related field is highly desirable.
Extensive Caribbean experience preferred.
EMB135BJ or EMB550 experience preferred.
Previous experience using office equipment and machinery, electronic devices, and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) required.
Advanced skills and proficiency using and operating aircraft cockpit and cabin equipment such as flight instruments and controls required
Qualified candidates must possess the following:
FAA designated Airline Transport Pilot Certificate Multi Engine Land.
FAA-designated commercial pilot certificate with instrument and multiengine rating;
First-class FAA-designated medical certificate (and ability to maintain such);
FCC radio operator license;
Valid U.S. passport;
Ability and willingness to work flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business;
Strong understanding of regulatory compliance and company policies, with a commitment to safety, customer service, and integrity;
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build and maintain professional client relationships;
High level of discretion and [Company]ity with sensitive information; and
