We are seeking an experienced, safety-focused pilot to fly and oversee a privately owned Beechcraft Baron 58 based at Tallahassee, Panama City, Thomasville or other close airport.
This is not a full-time position. We are looking for the right long-term pilot who can become familiar with the aircraft, maintain a high level of proficiency, and take ownership of coordinating its day-to-day readiness.
Responsibilities
· Serve as primary pilot for approximately 40–50 flying days annually
· Primarily fly regional trips throughout the Southeast, with occasional longer trips
· Maintain strong IFR and multi-engine proficiency
· Coordinate scheduled and unscheduled maintenance
· Work directly with maintenance facilities and mechanics
· Monitor aircraft inspections, ADs, recurring maintenance and service items
· Maintain aircraft records and maintenance scheduling
· Keep avionics databases and aircraft subscriptions current
· Coordinate annual inspection
· Monitor aircraft condition between trips
· Ensure the Baron is fueled, equipped and ready when trips are scheduled
· Participate in annual Baron-specific recurrent training
Qualifications
· Commercial Pilot Certificate
· Multi-Engine Land rating
· Instrument rating
· Current FAA medical
· Strong recent multi-engine and IFR experience
· Excellent safety record
Strongly preferred:
· Significant Beechcraft Baron 55/58/G58 experience
· Bonanza/Baron experience
· Multi-engine instructor (MEI) experience
· Previous corporate or owner-flown aircraft experience
· Experience managing or overseeing privately owned aircraft
Annual recurrent training will be provided/paid for by the aircraft owner.
Compensation
$800 per flying day
Plus a monthly aircraft-management retainer for ongoing oversight of maintenance, records and aircraft readiness.
Training expenses associated with required annual recurrent training will be paid by the owner.
This could be an excellent opportunity for a retired or semi-retired corporate pilot, experienced flight instructor, or professional pilot looking for a long-term relationship flying a well-maintained privately owned aircraft without the demands of a full-time flying position.
