Position Introduction:
In addition to instructional duties, the Flight Instructor plays a key role in coordinating and scheduling training activities, supporting daily flight operations through dispatch functions, and operating faculty/staff transportation flights (FAST flights). This position also contributes to the advancement of the aviation program by assisting with recruitment and promotional efforts, developing new courses and training materials, and supporting basic preventive maintenance of the university’s aircraft fleet.
Required Education and Experience:
High School diploma or GED OR an equivalent combination of education/job related experience.
Required Certifications and Licenses:
FAA Certified Flight Instructor License
Must have and maintain FAA Class II medical
Valid driver's license
