Operations Manager / Chief Pilot (Hybrid Role) – Canada
We are currently recruiting for a unique Operations Manager / Chief Pilot (non-flying or limited flying role) on behalf of a private operator based in Canada.
This is an excellent opportunity for a pilot or aviation professional looking to transition into a leadership and operational role, while remaining close to flight operations.
Location:
Based out of Western Canada
· Remote work is acceptable
· Relocation package available
Operation Overview
- Aircraft: Piper Navajo (twin engine) & Cessna 310
- Operation type: Part 91 – Private Operations
- License: FAA
- Flight activity: Minimal (0–10 hours/month)
- Environment: Night, IFR, mountainous, low-level operations
- Flying is not required, but operational understanding is essential
Position Overview
· This is a single, key leadership position responsible for overseeing the full flight operation.
· While a formal Chief Pilot title is not required under Part 91 regulations, the selected candidate will be expected to perform in a Chief Pilot capacity, including:
-Managing and supporting flight crew
-Overseeing daily operations and scheduling
-Coordinating maintenance and operational logistics
-Ensuring safe and efficient flight operations
-Acting as the main point of contact for operational matters
Ideal Profile
We are looking for someone with:
-Previous experience flying Piper Navajo (preferred) or similar aircraft
-Strong people management and leadership skills
-Solid understanding of flight operations, maintenance, and logistics
-Ability to operate in a dynamic, seasonal environment
-A proactive, solution-oriented mindset
Schedule & Operations
-Peak operations: May to September (24/7 environment)
-Off-season: Reduced activity
-Salary remains consistent year-round
-Start Date: ASAP
