Company Description
[Company] Aviation Services specializes in private charter services and aircraft management. We are the longest-running operator at KAPA, founded and operated by pilots. Many of our management team members continue to fly, so we know what it's like to meet customer expectations at the front line. We prioritize quality of life, and it shows in our schedules and benefits.
Pilot in Command – Gulfstream G550
Full-Time – Denver, CO (KAPA)
[Company] is seeking qualified Pilot in Command candidates for our G550 for Part 91 and 135 flight operations. It is expected that the candidate lives, or is willing to relocate, within a 2-hour drive of the airport.
This is a new G550 for [Company], but it is not new to the owner. He has owned multiple aircraft in the past, and we continue to operate an additional midsize airplane for him. We estimate the G550 will fly approximately 100 hours under Part 91 and 200 hours under Part 135, totaling roughly 300 hours per year. We expect to take a few international trips each year to places like Western Europe, and potentially Asia and Hawaii, with the remainder being domestic flights.

Job Details
Approximately 300 hours per year
This is a new aircraft on our 135 certificate, and we are unsure of the exact demand it will generate. We're starting with two pilots to judge demand, and we won't overwork you. If the owner decides to pursue more charter flying, we will hire a third pilot.
Compensation
$230,000 - $250,000
[Company] will provide an iPad, software, a company credit card, and KCM. Uniforms for charter are provided, and business casual is expected for Part 91 trips. Per diem is paid for all trips, and expenses, including hotels and ground transportation, are reimbursed within two weeks. We book our own travel and do not stay in questionable hotels. Our comprehensive benefits package includes health, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan with a 5% company match, paid time off, and life and short-term disability insurance.
Schedule
We're targeting a 10-day on, 5-day off schedule, but we're looking for someone who can be flexible. If you have a scheduled vacation or time off that you do not want to change, we will decline charter or cover owner trips with a contract crew. The ideal candidate will be available to work some off days for extra pay, and we will prioritize the days off you need.
We don't compete with the fractionals on pay, but we surpass them in quality of life. You rarely airline to or from the aircraft, except on long trips when the aircraft will sit at outstations and we're not flying charter. Our goal is to accommodate life events and vacations with no questions asked. The two-person crew is expected to work together to cover the flying.
“On days” example: 7 am-5 pm on call. Owner trips are almost always known in advance, and very few charters will be same-day pop-ups. During an average 10-day work block, you will rarely work on all days. While we don't count the others as off days (they do not reduce your days off), they are your days to do as you wish, as long as you're ready to fly if a call comes in.
Additional Details
Our aircraft is meticulously maintained by our dedicated mechanic. Heavy maintenance is contracted out to places like Gulfstream and Duncan, and when it's in maintenance, you can consider those extra days off. We don't require or expect you to take vacation during maintenance events.
[Company] has over 45 years of experience in the field of professionally managed aircraft. It is a family-like operation that prioritizes quality over quantity.
Expect standardization and established procedures in the cockpit and operations, and we're always open to suggestions and improvement. A good candidate will have extensive experience in CRM and SOPs.
