Those selected for employment must successfully complete a paid training program at our Flight Attendant Training Center in Saint Louis, MO, as well as a hands-on evaluation in the aircraft. Training is approximately six weeks in length.
At least 21 years of age
Height between 4’11” and 6’0”
Live within two hours of your base
Possess a high school diploma or a GED equivalent
Hold a valid, unexpired U.S. Passport, or a Foreign Passport with applicable VISAs, or capable of obtaining one
Authorized for unrestricted travel to/from all countries served by United Airlines, including Canada
Legally eligible to work in the U.S.
Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English fluently
Skilled in managing difficult situations, effective problem-solving, and handling complaints
Strong communication skills, interpersonal abilities, and a welcoming attitude towards all customers
Maintain a professional appearance, free from visible tattoos, facial or multiple upper-ear piercings, and without extreme hair colors or styles
Able to navigate comfortably down the aircraft aisle facing forward, quickly move through the over-wing exit, and occupy the Flight Attendant jump seat without the need for seatbelt extension modifications
Willing to work in various climates and locations across the country, and adaptable to variable shift patterns
If selected, ready to participate in 6 weeks of training at our Headquarters in Saint Louis, MO
$19.58 per flight hour
Increase to $22.07 after one year of service
Minimum Guarantee: 75 flight hours per month
$2.00 per diem while away from base
