The System Chief Pilot will assist the Director of Flight Operations in the supervisory and administrative duties of the pilot force by communicating and clarifying company policies to crewmembers; ensure compliance with standard operating procedures; identify and resolve operational problems relating to flight crews; represent ABX in absence of the Director of Flight Operations as necessary; aid in selection and employment of pilots; monitor flight training progress of pilots; assist in ensuring that all pilots attain and maintain proficiency and current requirements set forth in FAR's and ABX manuals; maintain adequate staffing levels of pilots to comply with FAA and ABX standardization of procedures; Administer pilot CBA; Oversee scheduling as it relates to "day to day" operations; perform related duties as necessary including working approximately 40% at night.
Requirements:
Must have High School Diploma/GED
Airline Transport Pilot license
First Class Medical
6 years in FAR part 121 as a flight crewmember
Minimum of 3 years of experience as PIC in a 121 environment
Satisfy FAA physical requirements
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Record of functional understanding and application of team building and team leadership concepts
Record of dedication to flight discipline and adherence to established standard operating procedures
Ability to withstand exposure to outdoor/adverse working conditions
Preferred:
Bachelor's Degree or higher
Experience as FAR 121 Instructor Pilot/Check Airman
FAR 121 airline management experience
