Centennial Flyers is seeking a full-time Director of Maintenance for our part 91 flight club. Our fleet consists of 29 aircraft including Cessa singles, Cessna 335, Bonanzas, Diamonds, Mooneys, and a few Travel Airs. Looking to start our own shop/maintenance program. Currently we use 4-5 local area shops to complete most maintenance. The main duties will be managing relationships with our current shops (with the desire to hire in house mechanics in the near future), maintenance scheduling and planning, ordering and inventorying parts, and maintaining FAA compliance.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assists to provide input in the planning, and forecasting of the club’s maintenance programs to maintain efficient and cost-effective operations
Conducts ongoing review of the club’s aircraft maintenance department to establish procedures and identify needed changes in policy to assure that the aircraft are maintained according to Federal Aviation Regulation and company policy
Ensuring airworthiness as defined within 14 CFR by researching permanent records, maintenance tracking programs, FAA Airworthiness Directives, and Manufacturer’s Service Bulletins/Customer Bulletins for aircraft.
Identify and incorporate changes in FAA publication and policies into the company aircraft maintenance program, as well as supporting FAA inquiries or visits.
Communicates effectively and accurately with the vendors and other internal departments.
Maintains a safe work environment and reports any unsafe conditions.
Performs quality maintenance, preventive maintenance, and inspections to conform to the standards established by the company, federal regulations, and industry standards achieving the highest reliability goals.
Ability to handle multiple priorities with a high degree of accuracy
Reviews and ensures all required entries into the aircraft logbooks and permanent records are accurate and preserved in accordance with company and FAA requirements.
Updates and interfaces with a computerized maintenance tracking program - Flight Circle.
Must be able to work alone with little supervision
Must be willing to travel for breakdowns and AOG situations (rare)
Maintains a positive attitude
Excellent time management, follow-through, and organizational skills
Ability to work rotating shifts including weekends, holidays, and days-off (would really be a plus if you can work on Sundays)
Other duties may be assigned as needed
EDUCATION & WORK EXPERIENCE
High School diploma or GED required
Associate degree preferred
Five (5) years of aviation experience required
Five (5) years of leadership and running an aircraft maintenance department or shop preferred
Five (5) years of experience working with general aviation aircraft or similar (Cessna 152, Cessna 172, Cessna 182, Cessna 210, Beechcraft, Piper Archer are examples)
