ExecuJet is currently seeking suitably qualified Captain to fill a vacancy within our operations division for a position based out of our Lanseria (FALA) Facility (South Africa).
The main objective of the position is setting and maintaining operational standards for a private operation.
Key responsibilities
Assume full responsibility for the safe operation of the aircraft from boarding until shutdown, securing, and handover to authorised personnel.
Ensure all flights are conducted in strict accordance with SACAA regulations, company Operations Manuals, SOPs, and approved checklists.
Determine aircraft acceptance based on maintenance status and the approved MEL.
Ensure pre‑flight inspections are completed and that correct fuel and oil types and quantities are loaded in accordance with regulatory and company requirements.
Ensure weather briefings, ATC flight plans, and Weight and Balance calculations are accurate and within aircraft limits for all phases of flight.
Ensure passengers receive comprehensive safety and emergency briefings and that no person is carried whose condition may compromise safety.
Maintain sterile cockpit procedures during critical phases of flight and supervise crew performance, training, and adherence to standards.
Ensure abnormal or emergency procedures are applied only when required and that no simulation of emergencies is conducted during commercial flights.
Ensure all required flight documentation, technical logs, flight folios, and aircraft documents are correctly completed, valid, and carried.
Ensure flight data recording systems are not interfered with and that data is preserved following any incident or reportable occurrence.
Provide leadership and mentorship to aircrew and support training, checking, and ad‑hoc operational duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
Educational
Matric/Grade 12 or similar
Possess a valid SACAA ATPL
Experience
Clear understanding of Part 91/135 operations with a min of 5 years’ experience in the Commercial and Corporate/Business Aviation field.
Clear understanding of international and local regulations.
3000 hours total time, 2000 Multi-Engine PIC, 1000 Jet PIC, 50 hours on type (Min).
Type Rated on Falcon 2000EX (Preferred).
Experience in general and people management practices.
