Job Description:
The Flight Operations Ground Instructor position at [Company] is a dynamic instruction and mentor role responsible for providing direction, motivation and development to the [Company] Flight Operations team while maintaining compliance with all applicable Federal Aviation Regulations.
To be successful, instructor applicant must have in-depth knowledge of the GOM, EFB applications and Company policies as well as demonstrate the core values and Company guidelines.
Summary of Essential Duties:
Instruct, support, coach, analyze and evaluate crewmember training performance throughout Company initial new hire training (INDOC), recurrent and any other company training events as qualified and assigned
Continued development of initial new hire and recurrent training curriculum and courseware in accordance with regulatory and Company requirements
Conduct initial new hire and recurrent training for both classroom and practical exercises as needed
Ensure resources are confirmed and meet standards, including classroom space, aircraft, and training equipment
Review and suggest modification to department manuals, processes and procedures in accordance with regulatory requirements
Perform administrative duties relative to the training department such as record keeping and monitoring crewmember performance throughout training
Possesses a reputation for operational safety and reliability, integrity, consistency and adherence to corporate values
Works closely with the Director of Training to establish a clear overall training experience and operating strategy for the flight operations training department
Represents the flight operations department with business partners and with regulatory agencies such as the FAA
Assist the Director of Training on coordinating operation policies with appropriate activities
Provide technical guidance with the GOM as well as associated operational and training manuals
Performs special projects and other duties assigned or required by the Director of Training/Flight Operations leadership
Other duties as assigned by leadership.
Must be 23 years of age or older.
Authorized to work in the United States and able to travel in and out of the United States.
Possess a valid driver's license and have a good driving record.
Able to read, write, and speak fluently in the English language
Operational knowledge of laptop and desktop computers, working knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat, or related presentation programs. Operational knowledge of Outlook is required. Competency with internet navigation is also required.
Willing to work a varying schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
Available to travel as required
Able to pass a required 10-year work history review and submit to criminal background and fingerprint checks.
Must pass a DOT required pre-employment drug screen and willing to submit to and pass FAA and Company mandated random drug and alcohol tests

Aviation focused degree in management, operations, training or equivalent with at least two (2) years of previous experience is preferred. Experience in lieu of degree is acceptable
One (1) or more years flight operations or aviation training experience in 14 CFR Part 121 and/or 135 operations preferred
An intermediate understanding of the crewmember role and daily job duties
Possess and maintain a valid US passport or foreign passport.
Prefer qualified and/or current in an aircraft that [Company] operates other similar transport category aircraft.
