Position Purpose:
Act as Senior Captain (pilot in command) on Home Depot owned/leased aircraft. Must hold Captain qualification for two types of aircraft. Qualified and authorized to captain Home Depot aircraft worldwide with no operating restrictions. As pilot in command, he/she is responsible for the safety, security and comfort of passengers and crew.
Key Responsibilities:
20% Function as Pilot in Command on Home Depot aircraft for the purpose of maintaining a high degree of technical competence and awareness of safe aircraft operations, anywhere in the world that includes the United States, Canada, Mexico and other international destinations.
20% Responsible for the conduct of safe flight operations and the compliance of all applicable FAA regulations, as well as internal Home Depot policies. All responsibilities as delineated under major tasks and responsibilities of a Captain
20% Assigned as PIC to all trips that are scheduled for the first time into any airport defined as a high risk airport in the Flight Departmtnet Flight Operations Manual
20% Demostrate knowledge and proficency in International Operating Procedures commesurate with personal experience. Assist the Chief Pilot and Assistant Chief Pilot in evaluating the technical performance of pilots.
20% Take leadership roles as assigned by the Chief Pilot. Become a Team Leader for special projects.
Direct Manager/Direct Reports:
Typically report to Chief Pilot
No direct responsibility for supervising others.
Travel Requirements:
Typically requires overnight travel more than 50% of the time.
Physical Requirements:
Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

Typically in a comfortable environment but with regular exposure to factors such as temperature extremes, moving machinery, loud noise, and fumes which cause noticeable discomfort or a moderate risk of accident or illness.

Minimum Qualifications:
Must be eighteen years of age or older.
Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge and application of theories and principles of discipline.
Ability to provide in depth expertise related to [Company]’s services for policies and procedures in a functional area.
Can assign and review work, train and contribute to performance appraisal but not participate in hiring, firing or disciplinary actions.
Minimum of 10 years experience as a professional pilot flying jet aircraft with a demonstrated record of adherence to aviation safety and flight standards.
Minimum of 5,000 hrs, 3,000 hrs jet, 2,000 hrs pilot in command.
Minimum Education:
The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor’s degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.

Certifications:
Current FAA First Class Medical Certificate; FAA Airline Transport Pilot Certificate; Type rated in at least two corporate jet aircraft.
Competencies:
A complete understanding of customer service skills, and an indepth safety background.
The ability to work with and lead a group of highly technical and detail orientated associates.
Be thoroughly familiar and comply with Federal Aviation Regulations and Company policies and procedures.
General business familiarity of department budgets.
Polished organizational skills.
Be able to supervise the refueling of aircraft and ensure that protective measures from fuel contamination, misloading and potential hazards affedting the safety of the aircraft and passengers are enforced.
Ability to train and evaluate performance of pilots.
