The Air Shuttle is hiring a First Officer at our Mather, CA (MHR) Base!
The First Officer, or SIC, assists the Pilot in Command (PIC) in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of company aircraft and reports to the PIC during flight.
Your Responsibilities
Flight Crew
Assist the PIC in the safe and efficient conduct of a flight, including the operation of the aircraft in accordance with company and manufacturer’s procedures and Federal Aviation Regulations.
Report safety concerns and irregularities to the ASAP Manager and all incidents and accidents to the Director of Operations.
Promote and maintain an atmosphere of Crew Resource Management that facilitates the exchange of information critical to the safety of flight.
Embody the values of the Air Shuttle culture and standard of service to help create and maintain a positive work environment & successful operation.
Required Skills, Qualifications, And Experience
Required education and experience
Airline Transport Pilot Certificate issued by the United States Federal Aviation Administration
Must be able to read, write, fluently speak and understand the English language
Impeccable safety record
Strong work ethic, flexible, and a demonstrated ability as an excellent team member
Excellent Crew Resource Management skills
Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills, especially under pressure.
A minimum of the following flight hours:
2,000 total
500 PIC
500 multi engine
150 instrument
150 night
Willing to adapt to meet the demands of the job, including dealing with scheduling changes on short-notice. When on reserve, crewmembers must respond to a call within 15 minutes and begin travel to airport within 30 minutes of the first call attempt.
Additional Eligibility Requirements
Airline Transport Pilot Certificate issued by the United States Federal Aviation Administration
Current First Class Medical Certificate
No accidents, incidents, or FAA enforcement actions in last 5 years
Valid driver’s U.S. license
Must have a valid passport and be able to travel internationally without restrictions
FCC Restricted Radio Operator's Permit
No person may perform any safety-sensitive function if the person has a verified positive drug test result on or has refused to submit to a drug test.

Must be able to pass a Non-DOT pre-employment urine drug screen and random drug and alcohol screenings in accordance with company policy.
Acceptance and successful completion of the Pilot Records Information Act (PRIA) utilizing the Pilot Records Database (PRD)
Work Authorization/security Clearance Requirements
Authority to work in the United States
Must be able to obtain a Non-SIDA airport badge by passing a background check ordered by the Airport.
Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check, including a TSA required fingerprint-based criminal history records check in compliance with TSA Security Program Standards and 49 CFR 1544.229 and 49 CFR 1544.230
