How you’ll make an impact:
The Manager, Aviation Services will have an opportunity to impact this business channel immediately. This individual will be the team’s aviation subject matter expert, have a passion for flying, and have a deep understanding of positioning and selling products and services in the aviation market. This individual will also support marketing and product development. This person will manage an existing portfolio of OEMs, Dealers, Fleets and Retailers and will be tasked to add new ones to grow the Aviation subscriber base. Manager, Aviation Services will build this exciting business channel by developing and implementing effective sales programs that increase receiver sales and the trial funnel.
What you’ll do:
The Manager, Aviation Services will use their strong B2B Sales, Account Management, and Aviation experience to:
Manage existing Avionics partners, ensuring [Company] Aviation products are included in their offerings.
Present and persuade OEMs, dealers, distributors, and retailers to purchase and sell [Company] Aviation products and services to pilots.
Work with OEMs and Dealers to build the trial funnel.
Build effective campaigns and strategies for pre-flown aircraft, encouraging new subscribers in this important market.
Work with internal teams at [Company] to develop the satellite receivers used by [Company] Aviation products.
Collaborate with Marketing and Product Management teams ensuring that the Aviation Services are on message and on target to best position our services to retain our subscribers and attract new ones.
Develop campaigns for pilots to purchase receivers and convert trialers to paying subscribers.
Secure new Aviation OEMs, Dealers, Fleets, and other accounts
Ensure new Aviation OEMs, Dealers, and Fleets are smoothly onboarded to the Aviation programs, including trials and applicable discounts.
Provide Aviation subscribers with essential subscriber management support.
Provide accounts with all needed materials, information, and support to fulfill their responsibilities as outlined in their respective contractual commitments.
Ensure a regular cadence of communication and reviews, including in-person meetings as needed, to maximize engagement and growth within each account.
Proactively identify, lead, and facilitate process improvements to ensure a seamless account experience, from onboarding through activations, changes, invoicing, etc., to subscriptions through each account.
Ensure all contractual matters are kept up to date, including proactively renewing agreements over time.
Communicate proactively with key stakeholders, including regular updates on initiatives and presentations to the management team.
Represent [Company] at industry events.
Collaborate regularly with Aviation influencers to gain industry knowledge and identify new OEM and Dealer opportunities.
What you’ll need:
Five to seven years of demonstrated (quantifiable) experience meeting or exceeding sales goals in a B2B environment, selling to the Aviation marketplace.
Five to seven years of experience selling Aviation products or devices, calling on OEMs, dealers, and retailers. Selling products or services with a subscription business model is highly preferred.
Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, Economics or Marketing
Proven interpersonal skills to establish and maintain highly effective business relationships

Proven track record of exceeding sales / account management goals.
Experience managing a portfolio of OEMs, Dealers, or Fleets preferred.
Knowledge of Weather services a plus.
Certified Private Pilot’s license would be desirable
Thorough knowledge and competence with the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Zoom or equivalent video conferencing tool.
This position requires the use of information or access to hardware subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). As required by ITAR, to perform this position, you must be a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e., ‘Green Card Holder’), Political Asylee, or Refugee.

At [Company], we carefully consider a wide range of factors when determining compensation, including your background and experience. These considerations can cause your compensation to vary. We expect the base salary for this position to be $103,000 - $154,100 and will depend on your skills, qualifications, and experience. We encourage all interested candidates to apply.
