A privately operated, family-owned flight department in the Phoenix metro area is seeking an experienced Bombardier Global 5000/6500 Captain to join a growing Part 91 team. This position offers a highly desirable schedule, under 300 flight hours per year, and the chance to fly top-tier Global aircraft for a stable, long-term employer.β
Company and operation
Part 91, privately operated corporate flight department (no charter).β
Fleet includes Global 5000 and Global 6500 aircraft, with a Global 7500 planned.β
Mix of business and family flying to destinations such as Santa Ana, Cabo, Monterey, New York City, and select international locations (primarily Europe).β
Full-time flight attendants and in-house maintenance team; aircraft are owned and managed directly by the company.β
Schedule and lifestyle
Phoenix metro area base; local residency or willingness to relocate is required.β
On-call operation with typical 48+ hoursβ notice for trips.β
Target staffing of five pilots, moving toward a 4-weeks-on / 1-week-off pattern once fully staffed.β
Average trip length is about three days, with total annual utilization under 300 flight hours.β
Key responsibilities
Serve as Pilot in Command (PIC) on Global 5000/6500 flights, ensuring the highest standards of safety, professionalism, and passenger service.β
Conduct all phases of flight planning: performance, fuel, weather, alternates, international/oceanic procedures, and route selection.β
Verify aircraft airworthiness, weight and balance, and compliance with all applicable regulations and company policies.β
Lead the crew with strong CRM, coordinating closely with the SIC, flight attendants, maintenance, and ground teams.β
Maintain strict discretion and confidentiality with high-net-worth passengers and family members.β
Keep all training, currency, and records up to date, including recurrent simulator training and medicals.β
Qualifications
BDβ700 type rating with PIC authorization required.β
Appropriate and valid First Class (or equivalent) medical certificate.β
Strong safety record, professional demeanor, and excellent communication skills.β
Experience with international operations and ability to meet global travel requirements (passport, visas as needed).β
Prior military and/or large-cabin business jet experience is highly valued.β
