Bell 429 Captain – Part 135
Position Overview
[Company] is an established and professionally managed Part 135 operator seeking an experienced and professional Bell 429 Captain to join our growing rotorcraft operation. Our company maintains industry-leading safety standards and holds recognized third-party audit certification.
This position is based in the New York City metropolitan area and requires candidates to reside within a reasonable commuting distance of the assigned base.
We are seeking a safety-focused pilot with exceptional leadership, customer service, and operational decision-making skills who thrives in a fast-paced helicopter operation. The company conducts both domestic operations and specialized missions throughout the Northeast region and beyond.
Responsibilities
Serve as Pilot in Command on Bell 429 operations conducted under Part 135 regulations
Conduct safe, compliant, and efficient flight operations in accordance with FAA regulations and company SOPs
Coordinate all aspects of flight planning, weather analysis, routing, passenger handling, and operational logistics
Maintain the highest standards of professionalism, discretion, and customer service
Work closely with dispatch, maintenance, and operations personnel
Maintain aircraft readiness, cleanliness, and operational documentation
Participate in recurrent training, safety programs, and operational meetings
Support the company’s strong culture of safety, compliance, and operational excellence
Qualifications
Required
Commercial Rotorcraft-Helicopter Certificate
Current First or Second Class Medical
Valid U.S. Passport
Minimum 2,500 hours total rotorcraft flight time
Minimum 500 hours twin-engine rotorcraft time
Prior Bell 429 experience required
Prior Part 135 operator experience required
Excellent communication and CRM skills
Ability to maintain a flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, and overnight travel
Strong knowledge of IFR helicopter operations and airspace procedures in congested metropolitan environments
Preferred
ATP Certificate – Helicopter
IFR operational experience
Experience operating in high-profile executive/VIP environments
Prior experience with IS-BAO, ARGUS, Wyvern, or other audited flight operations
