Program Support Pilot
Definition: This position is for certificated commercial pilots acting as pilot in command (PIC) for pilot operations in Company or State owned and operated aircraft in support of the CALFIRE aviation program.
Minimum qualifications and requirements: 1000 hours total time, 800 hours total PIC, Second Class Medical Certificate with EKG Endorsement if over forty (40) years of age. Commercial Airplane Pilot Certificate with instrument rating for fixed wing, commercial rotorcraft helicopter certificate for rotor wing.
Knowledge and abilities: Staffing and piloting support aircraft transporting parts, mechanics, pilots, administrative/company personnel, and CALFIRE personnel as required in support of the CALFIRE aviation program. All flights are conducted under FAR Part 91 rules.
Work schedule: The Company is responsible for staffing aircraft in accordance with the State contract and is solely responsible for pilot scheduling.
Training and proficiency: Pilot currency and proficiency shall be maintained by each pilot, including mechanic-pilots, in company aircraft as necessary. Additionally, annual training shall be accomplished before fire season begins, to consist of ground school and flight proficiency.

HIRING HOURLY RANGE: $66.82 (Hourly rate to be determined by the education,
experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
