Chief Pilot Requirements:
3+ years of experience in the past 6 years as a Captain of a large airplane operator
Must be FAA certified and current in their aircraft, specifically typed in Sabreliner
Possess an Airline Transport Pilot certificate with correct training and a current first-class medical certification
Strong knowledge of FAA regulations, particularly FAR Part 91 and Part 135
Experience using MS Office and online scheduling software for flight tracking
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage a team of pilots effectively
Excellent communication skills and a calm, authoritative demeanor, especially when dealing with FAA inspections
Cheif Pilot Responsibilities:
Coordinate with the Director of Operations to direct all training activities for flight crew members
Maintain pilot flight and training records, ensuring compliance with FAA regulations
Oversee crew member standardization and ensure participation in the company s drug and alcohol program
Prepare and maintain proficiency records, flight schedules, activity reports, and correspondence with the FAA
Ensure proper documentation procedures for each flight are followed and maintained
Set and communicate policies for the dissemination of important flight and company information to all crew members
Maintain and update the company s Operations Manual, Aeronautical Information Manual, FAR Part 91 and FAR Part 135
Submit required reports to the FAA and manage communications related to crew qualifications and compliance
Monitor and manage crew duty times and ensure legal compliance before assigning duties
Schedule company aircraft and establish flight crew duty hours
Exercise Operational Control under FAR 135.77 and have authority to sign the Flight Release, while retaining overall responsibility even when delegating tasks
