Location: Victoria, BC (YYJ Private Aviation Terminal)

ABOUT THE POSITION
We are seeking an experienced and safety-focused float plane pilot to join our team serving the Victoria and coastal British Columbia region. This is a year-round position based out of the YYJ private aviation terminal, offering the opportunity to fly in one of the most scenic and dynamic coastal environments in North America.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
路 Safely operate float plane aircraft on scheduled and charter flights throughout coastal British Columbia and into the United States
路 Conduct pre-flight inspections, flight planning, and post-flight documentation in accordance with Transport Canada regulations
路 Provide excellent customer service to passengers while maintaining the highest safety standards
路 Perform flights in various weather conditions typical of the Pacific Northwest coastal environment
路 Navigate through complex coastal terrain, harbours, and challenging water landing sites
路 Maintain current knowledge of all applicable regulations, company procedures, and operating manuals
路 Communicate effectively with dispatchers, ground crew, and air traffic control
路 Serve as a reserve pilot to support fleet operations during winter months as needed, Cessna 182 specifically
路 Participate in ongoing training and professional development activities
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience & Licensing:
路 Minimum 500 hours of coastal float plane experience (required)
路 Valid Canadian Commercial Pilot License with appropriate ratings
路 Current medical certificate (Category 1)
路 Valid passport with ability to fly into the United States as a solo pilot
路 Clean flight record with no incidents or accidents
Technical Skills:
路 Demonstrated proficiency in water operations, including various sea states and conditions
路 Experience with coastal navigation, mountain flying, and weather assessment
路 Strong understanding of Transport Canada and FAA regulations
路 Ability to operate float planes in challenging coastal environments
Location Requirements:
路 Currently reside within one hour of YYJ private aviation terminal, OR
路 Willing to relocate to the Greater Victoria area (Sidney, Saanich Peninsula, Victoria, Langford, Sooke, or surrounding communities within one hour drive)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
路 1,000+ hours total float plane time
路 Caravan and turbine aircraft time an asset
路 Experience with multiple aircraft types common to coastal operations
路 Previous charter or scheduled service experience
路 Float plane instructor rating
路 Familiarity with Pacific Northwest coastal waters and landing sites
路 Experience with winter operations and reserve pilot duties
