The Synthetic Flight Instructor is responsible to instruct airline crew converting to [Company] aircraft on all operational, technical and performance aspects for a specific type (or types). The Instructor is also responsible to assist the Head of Training (HOT) with other training related duties when assigned.

• Instruct airline crew converting to [Company] aircraft on all operational and technical aspects for a specific type (or types) using Flight Training Devices, Fixed Base Simulators, Full Flight Simulators, in order to ensure their capability to carry out safely and correctly all normal and emergency procedures required by Airworthiness authorities.

• Conduct theoretical training for type-rating courses, flight operations courses and aircraft performance.

• Adhere to [Company] standard policy and standardisation as required by Flight Development and Flight Standardization & Policy.

• Instruct the crews within the defined time limits.

• Evaluates the crews’ progression

• Decides, if required, on the necessity to accord extra training to achieve the required level of proficiency and competence as defined in the training objectives.

• Participate in the review or development of training programme as assigned by HOT.

• Conduct standardization duties if appointed as [Company] Standardizer.

• Maintain a high level of airmanship to teach in a multicultural environment.

• Assist with flight training audits and FSTD (Flight Simulation Training Device) fly-outs and qualifications.

• Any other duty as assigned by Head of Training.

Job Requirements:

• Hold or Have held a CPL (Commercial Pilot License) & Frozen ATPL (Air Transport Pilot License) or a Valid ATPL

• Possess previous or current instructor/examiner experience would be an added advantage

• With minimum 3000 hours as Pilot

• With minimum 1500 hours on MPA (Multi Pilot Aeroplane)

• With minimum 1500 hours on [Company] FBW (Fly-by-Wire) aircraft type(s)

• Fluent in English, minimum English Language Proficiency Rating of 5 to be able to communicate with trainees & the authorities

• Candidates who have completed the [Company] Pilot Instructor Course (APIC) would be an added advantage
