The Charter Sales Director is responsible for maintaining and growing charter sales revenue by maintaining previous client accounts and prospecting for new charter opportunities. They will also contribute to inbound sales by providing fast responses to all quote requests. They will aid in the sourcing of supplements, like aircraft, to back up [Company]’s fractional fleet of aircraft. This position will require you to work in the office in Overland Park, KS.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Establishing a portfolio of clients, identifying new clients through cold calling, networking, and managing online inquiries
Drive charter revenue growth through phone calls, outreach emails and face-to-face meetings with a focus on creating new business opportunities
Cultivate and build on relationships with customers
Manage the complete sales cycle, beginning with the initial opportunity, qualification, quoting, and follow up
Enter, track, and maintain accurate customer database
Communicate effectively with all customers, owners, and internal customers
Work alongside the inside sales team by assisting with inbound phone calls, charter inbox, charter requests through online marketplaces
Demonstrate an expert understanding of the aircraft and chartering process
Flight watching/overseeing flight departures
Responsible for trip authorization and sign off approval
Oversight of all ongoing trips on a day-to-day basis, ensuring that all aspects of booked trips are running efficiently and effectively
Qualified candidates will have 4+ years of aviation or high-level sales experience AND a 4-year degree. Must possess excellent negotiation and prospecting skills as well as the ability to demonstrate an overall high motivation for selling. Track record of hitting sales goals and quotas.
Must have a strong network within the aviation charter industry
Exceptional oral and written communication skills
Must be self-motivated, outgoing, and well organized
Previous sales experience with ultra-high net worth individuals is preferred
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite required and previous experience with aircraft scheduling and quoting software is preferred
