Spirit of St. Louis Airport (KSUS) • Chesterfield, Missouri
Captain — Dassault Falcon 900 / 900B / 900C / 900EX
Full-Time • Part 91 / 91K / 135 Operations • Based at KSUS
[Company] is growing its Falcon 900 program and is looking for a captain who flies the airplane as well as they represent the flight department. Our aircraft fly a fraction of the hours of the large fleet operators, which means our pilots fly a schedule built around professionalism and quality of life — and our owners and passengers know their crew by name.
About [Company]
[Company] (SAG) is a private aviation company headquartered at Spirit of St. Louis Airport (KSUS) in Chesterfield, Missouri. Our operating companies span the full spectrum of business aviation: Strategic Air Services (Part 91 aircraft management), Strategic Jet Shares (Part 91K fractional ownership), and Strategic Jet Charter (Part 135 on-demand charter). SAG was founded by aviation professionals with decades of experience in the Dassault Falcon community, and our fleet centers on exceptionally maintained, highly upgraded Falcon 900-series aircraft.
About the Role
As a Falcon 900 Captain, you will serve as pilot-in-command across our Part 91, 91K, and 135 operations, flying domestic and international missions for aircraft owners, fractional shareowners, and charter clients. Twelve months in, success looks like this: a flawless safety and compliance record, owners who ask for you by name, first officers who are better pilots because they fly with you, and a flight department that runs smoother because of the way you communicate with schedulers, maintenance, and your fellow crewmembers.
What You'll Do
• Command — act as pilot-in-command of Falcon 900-series aircraft under Parts 91, 91K, and 135, with safety as the first consideration on every flight.
• Lead the crew — practice disciplined crew resource management, brief clearly, debrief honestly, and foster a cockpit and cabin environment where every crewmember is heard.
• Communicate — keep owners, passengers, schedulers, dispatch, and maintenance informed early and clearly; communicate delays, weather, and operational decisions with candor and professionalism.
• Own flight planning and trip execution, including international procedures, performance planning, weight and balance, and fuel planning, coordinating closely with the operations team.
• Take care of the passenger experience — deliver the polished, discreet, personal service that private aviation clients expect, on the ground and in the air.
• Keep the paperwork right — maintain aircraft records, trip paperwork, and currency requirements accurately and on time across all three operating certificates.
• Be a teammate — mentor first officers, support maintenance coordination and aircraft airworthiness reviews, and pitch in the way every member of a small, high-performing flight department does.
What We're Looking For
Required:
• Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate with airplane multi-engine land rating.
• FAA First-Class Medical certificate.
• 3,500 hours total time, including 2,000 hours pilot-in-command and 1,000 hours turbine.
• Ability to meet and maintain Part 135 PIC qualification and currency requirements (135.243 and related).
• Residence within one hour of Spirit of St. Louis Airport (KSUS), or willingness to relocate.
• A demonstrated record of teamwork and clear, proactive communication — with crewmembers, clients, and support staff alike.
• Valid passport with unrestricted international travel privileges; valid driver's license.
• Ability to pass DOT/FAA pre-employment and random drug and alcohol testing, PRD review, and background checks.
Preferred:
• Falcon 900 (DA-50) or Falcon 900EX EASy type rating, current or previously held.
• Recent Part 135 or 91K PIC experience; international operations experience.
• Experience in an owner-facing or charter environment where service and discretion matter.
