Job overview and responsibilities
Reporting to Managing Director, leadership of all Technical Operations activities for a hub station and / or region ensuring the highest levels of safety, operational performance and regulatory compliance whilst maintaining a strong focus on product & process improvement, cost control, productivity and team building across all levels of the organization
Execution of departmental strategy and business plan through direct leadership of management team within the region
Responsible for financial oversight and budgetary compliance of hub station and/or region
Provide leadership and direction to entire organization including labor workforce to maximize productivity and output in accordance with collective bargaining agreements where applicable
Build / reinforce a fair and respectful work environment through consistent application of CBA work rules and company policies
Establish and execute regional performance goals and objectives aligning with divisional and company goals
Maintain a high level of awareness of operational, financial, compliance, safety and human resource related performance objectives
Ensure safety and security of aircraft and operations
Interface with regulatory authorities and local governments, including international locations, to ensure regulatory compliance of technical operations activities on a global basis
Maintain a high level of communication with all levels & employee groups within organization and across divisions as applicable
Participate in daily operational meetings to communicate status of operations, highlighting significant events and provide direction to ensure divisional objectives are achieved
Identify key issues needing to be addressed and assign projects where applicable
What’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):
Bachelor's degree or 4 years of relevant work experience in Aviation Management, Engineering, or related field,
FAA A&P Certificate
8 years in the aircraft maintenance industry with a minimum 3 years in a senior management role
International vendor, contract and regulatory experience (for international region leadership)
Extensive knowledge of aircraft maintenance operations and applicable FAA regulations
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position
What will help you propel from the pack (Preferred Qualifications):
Master's degree
2 years in a senior leadership role within a large maintenance organization including a unionized labor workforce
A proven successful track record
Strong cultural awareness to build and maintain professional relationships on a global basis
Strong background and technical knowledge on fleet types operated and maintenance programs
The base pay range for this role is $155,895.00 to $202,960.00.
