Role Description
This is a full-time home-based role for a Chief Pilot at [Company], LLC.
Duties and responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:
Serving as thought leader and strategy driver as a member of the senior leadership team;
Ensuring the safety of flying operations;
Lead the pilot corps by building and maintaining a culture of trust and excellence with all pilots while enabling the sustainable growth of the charter fleet;
Mentor each pilot to enhance their strengths and overcome their challenges;
Proactively retain the best talent;
Conduct and document frequent informal feedback with each pilot and periodic formal feedback with each pilot;
Ensure pilot compliance with the Company Standard Operating Procedures, Service Level Agreements and the Company Code of Conduct;
Manage pilot corps staff levels, skills, ongoing training, recruiting and retention to ensure 100% aircrew availability according to the operational demand;
Manage the pilot staffing schedule;
Modify and revise the pilot training program as necessary to ensure compliance with the FAR's, effective training of pilots and excellence of training;
Maintain qualification as a BE400 Pilot in Command for operations under 14 CFR part 135 and serve as PIC or SIC as needed to effectively lead the pilot corps;
Supervise the safety manager;
Assist in the management and execution of the company's strategy, project plans and periodic goals;
Comply with international, national, state and local regulations, laws and guidance including but not limited to FAA, TSA and DOT regulations as they apply to the pilot corps and document aforementioned compliance;
Qualifications
Must meet all of the qualifications for a Chief Pilot under FAR part 119.
Must have 3 years within the last 6 as a PIC in either a 121 or 135 operation OR previous Chief Pilot experience and 3 years total PIC time in either a 121 or 135 operation.
