Overview:
We are seeking an experienced, safety-focused corporate pilot to serve as the primary pilot for a Des Moines-based family-owned company with over 50 years of experience in continuous aircraft ownership. This position supports business growth and customer support within a high-performance, family-oriented, faith-driven environment.

About the Role:
The pilot will operate and manage flight operations for a well-modernized Cessna Conquest I (C425) aircraft (4-passenger configuration) as the primary company aircraft, while also maintaining operational readiness to fly a Piper PA-34 Seneca as a secondary aircraft when needed, providing safe, efficient, and flexible air transportation for company leadership and personnel.
This individual will serve as the operational lead for all aspects of flight preparation, scheduling, and maintenance coordination ensuring a seamless experience for every mission flown.
The role includes close collaboration with the aircraft owners, both commercially rated pilots with extensive experience in make and models, who are transitioning out of primary flight operations.

Essential Job Functions:
Flight Operations:
Safely operate company aircraft under Part 91 regulations, with the Cessna Conquest I serving as the primary aircraft, ensuring full compliance with FAA standards.
Plan, file, and execute flight plans; conduct all required pre- and post-flight inspections.
Maintain flight readiness and situational awareness across all mission types (personal, business, and executive transport).
Manage flight schedules, weather evaluations, routing, and fuel planning with efficiency and foresight.
Demonstrate flexibility and responsiveness to schedule adjustments and mission requirements.
Ability to safely dispatch aircraft from corporate hangar with John Deere Diesel Tractor/tug.
Aircraft Management:
Oversee aircraft maintenance, inspections, and airworthiness documentation.
Light cleaning duties expected.
Coordinate with approved service centers, maintenance providers, and insurance partners.
Maintain accurate flight logs, maintenance records, and operational reports.
Monitor and manage aircraft operating budgets, costs, and vendor relationships.
Safety & Professional Standards:
Maintain the highest standard of safety, professionalism, and discretion at all times.
Develop and follow written standard operating procedures (SOPs) and emergency protocols.
Participate in recurrent training and maintain all required licenses and medical certifications.
Administrative & Support:
Coordinate travel logistics with the company operations team and executive assistant.
Support efficient use of the aircraft, respecting confidentiality and privacy.

Visual requirements include clarity of vision at a distance of more than 20 inches and less than 20 feet without correction, color vision, depth perception and field of vision
Must be able to perform the following physical activities: Climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, fingering, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing and repetitive motions

Qualifications:
FAA Commercial Pilot License with Multi-Engine Land (MEL) and Instrument Rating required. CFII MEI preferred.
Minimum 4,000 total flight hours, with a strong safety record
2,000 total multi-engine flight hours
1,000 total Turbo Prop flight hours
Hours in make/model: 100 hours in similar or same make/model is preferred but not required
Recent experience: At least 100–200 hours flown in the last 12 months
Recurrent training / type transition: Must have recent checkouts, simulator transitions, or proficiency documentation
Current FAA Class II (or higher) medical certificate
Demonstrated history of discretion, reliability, and professional conduct
Schedule & Travel:
Typical flight schedule: On average 2-3 days per week; schedule flexibility required for business and personal needs.
Primarily domestic flights: Occasional overnight stays may be required.
Schedule flexibility and on-call responsiveness are essential
