Serves as Pilot-in-Command and is responsible for the safety of passengers, crewmembers, and the comfortable, timely operation of the aircraft. Supervises the flight crew and ensures that all flight and ground operations comply with FAA Regulations and the [Company] Aviation department Flight Operations manual. Determines flight routes, speed, and takeoff and landing times to fulfill scheduling requirements. Makes decisions regarding possible delays, rerouting or flight cancellations with the assistance of our operations team.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of corporate personnel, customers, and guests on company aircraft.
Crew members assigned responsibility for a trip are designated as Trip Captain, duties listed but not limited to: Directly responsible for the operation of the aircraft. Responsible for FAA regulation compliance, aircraft performance limitations, weather briefing, fuel requirements, safety, and security requirements. Ensures all FAA required records for the trip are completed and recorded. Provides an exceptional experience to our customers.
Participates in the Safety Management System.
Responsible for additional duties assigned by the Assistant Vice President, Aviation.
Fulfills all requirements for IS-BAO compliance.
Attends Flight Safety International for semiannual flight training.
May perform other duties as assigned when not flying.
